Salmon in the Schools

Every year our 5th grade class participates in Salmon in the Schools.  

Area coordinators work directly with teachers to secure coho, chum, or Chinook eggs, offer learning opportunities as the fry develop, and assist when students release their fry into local creeks and Lake Washington.

Our salmons eggs arrived first thing in January, and our fifth graders will be taking great care as we observe the life cycle of the salmon before releasing them.

All students have the opportunity to check on our salmon at lunchtime and watch them grow; ask your student about it!
